PRESS RELEASE
Capella Edina Wins Bronze ERS Award
Because of the commitment shown by Capella Edina to support our armed forces, we were nominated for a bronze award from the Ministry of Defence’s Employer Recognition Scheme.
On 30th April, Director of Music Luis Schmidt was invited to attend an evening event at Glasgow City Chambers hosted by The Right Honourable, Lord Provost of Glasgow, Jacqueline McLaren. Due to unforeseen family matters, the Lord Provost could not attend the ceremony and was represented by Deputy Lieutenant Colonel Allan CC Lapsley. After his introductory speech, Colonel Lapsley presented the Lord Lieutenant’s Certificates of Meritorious Service to deserving members of the Reserve Forces and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers. He also formally appointed the Lord Lieutenant Cadets for the year.
