Jill joined Capella Edina’s Board of Trustees in early 2025. Originally a classical pianist and orchestral trombonist, she was a member of the Royal New Zealand Air Force band for six years and has performed on stages across the globe. In addition, Jill was stage manager for the prestigious NZ music ensemble Stroma and the Chamber Music NZ District Contest Organiser.

She has ten years of client and corporate administration experience, thorough IT knowledge, proven database management, and high interpersonal skills, and has worked for Australasian media company, Fairfax Media, accounting advisory firm, Crowe Horwath Business Advisory, and VaCo, the UK-based advanced musicians’ course.

More recently, Jill worked at the National Youth Orchestras of Scotland as the Jazz Ensembles and Outreach Manager since 2019 before moving to Scottish Opera in 2022.

She resides in Glasgow with her husband Peter, who is a professional oboist.

With her vast experience in arts organisation development, Jill will help to ensure the sustainability of Capella Edina’s work.
