Like many registered arts charities, we balance our mission of widening access to orchestral music with staying financially sustainable.
We believe that music has the power to transform people’s lives and that’s what we want to present by delivering artistic excellence in accessible concerts and school workshops for our home city and our community in Edinburgh.

Membership Circle
Join a community of like-minded people who love and value orchestral music and want a closer connection with our orchestra, all from just £60 a year.
As a Member, you’ll be invited to exclusive events, gain behind-the-scenes access, and receive dedicated support from our team. You’ll also get to create and enjoy memorable moments with our musicians both on and off the stage.

– Choose to sponsor a specific Capella Edina player and get opportunities to meet them at our events
– Receive a behind-the-scenes tour of the Usher Hall on a concert day

– See your name on our website and in our concert programmes

Leaving a Gift in Your Will
By leaving a gift in your will, you will be helping us to inspire, enthuse, and continue our work for years to come.
Those who identify themselves to us as legacy pledgers will be invited to a special event during the year, gaining an insight into Capella Edina and its artistic process.

Unrestricted gift
Unrestricted gifts are particularly valuable, as they allow us to direct your support to where it’s needed the most across our work.
Designated gift
You may wish to support a particular area of our work, such as our education programme, or a specific player in the Orchestra. If you specify this in your will, we will ensure your gift is used solely for that purpose.
You can leave a gift to Capella Edina in your will by including a charitable legacy naming our orchestra’s name and charity number 1206478 alongside the sum you want to gift.
We realise that writing your will is a very personal and sometimes challenging process and we are grateful to you for considering us.
NB: Gifts in wills to charities are tax efficient. If your estate is going to attract inheritance tax, any gift you leave to Capella Edina will be deducted from your estate before any tax is calculated.

With behind-the-scenes access to the orchestra, and opportunities to meet key artists, stakeholders, and musicians; becoming a Corporate Member is a truly rewarding experience and shows your support for the arts and community.
